While Dr. Ulhoa-Cintra is relatively new to the Miami area, she brings with her more than a decade of hematology and oncology experience — and a deep passion for supporting patients on their journey to better health and quality of life.

Along with English, Dr. Ulhoa-Cintra speaks fluent Portuguese. She is excited to be part of a vibrant, diverse community where she and her family can do all the things they enjoy — like exploring new cuisine, spending time outdoors, and enjoying the ocean.

Delivering Individualized Treatment and Helping Create a Better Cancer Care Experience

Throughout her career, Dr. Ulhoa-Cintra has been recognized for her compassionate, personalized approach to patient care. Her dedication extends beyond the clinic, with multiple research publications and invitations to teach at respected institutions including the Mayo Clinic and the University of Saint Francis Albuquerque Campus. She has also received several honors and awards recognizing her contributions to oncology care and education.

Experience and Education

Dr. Ulhoa-Cintra currently serves as a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist at Medical Professionals of Miami, caring for patients at both the Kendall and North Shore locations. Before joining the practice, she served as a hematologist and oncologist at Cleveland Clinic Florida in Vero Beach, and previously at ENLOE Specialty Physicians in California and Hematology Oncology Associates in New Mexico.

She completed her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Western Pennsylvania Hospital–Allegheny General Hospital, followed by residency training in Internal Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital. She earned her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees from Drexel University, after completing her undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University.
